Fees

My clinical fees are based on the type and length of the therapy session and are billed at the time of service. Clients keep a credit card on file and it is automatically charged once sessions are completed. Cancellation fees apply for sessions canceled with less than 48-hours’ notice.

Insurance

I am not in network with any insurance companies.
My office will provide you with a monthly superbill, but reimbursement rates are between you and your insurance provider. If you plan to submit claims for reimbursement, I always recommend you call your insurance company directly, and ask them what they reimburse for out of network mental health providers. Make sure you ask if there is a deductible you need to meet before you can start receiving reimbursement.

Fees
  • Cancellation Policy
I require 48 hours notice to cancel an appointment. Failure to give 48 hours notice will result in a charge of the full fee of your session.
  • Do you offer phone or video sessions?
I believe therapy works better face-to-face, so I provide virtual sessions via a HIPAA-compliant video conferencing application. In the case of an emergency or other unforeseen circumstances, I am able to provide phone sessions to established patients.
  • What is the cost of a therapy session?
    Please inquire directly about fees.
  • How long is a therapy session and how frequently will we meet?
Sessions are 45-50 minutes. Frequency of individual sessions is determined with the client and based on how best to meet their needs both short and long term.
  • Do you have sliding scale appointments available?
Most of the time I do not, but ask me, as every once in a while I do have a slot available. Please contact me for more information on sliding scale rates.
  • Are you available after office hours?
All of my clients can reach me at any time via email, and may expect a response to non-urgent messages within 1-2 business days. Sessions are Monday - Thursday In an emergency, patients are encouraged to seek immediate attention by calling 911.
  • Do you take insurance?
No, I am not in network with any insurance companies. My office can provide you with a monthly superbill, but reimbursement rates are between you and your insurance provider. If you plan to request superbills, I always recommend you call your insurance company directly, and ask them what they reimburse for out of network mental health providers. Make sure you ask if there is a deductible you need to meet before you can start receiving reimbursement.
  • What is the No Surprises Act and a Good Faith Estimate?
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
  • Are you metro accessible and is there parking?
My office is located at 6931 Arlington Road, Suite 304, Bethesda, MD. It is about a 10-minute walk from the Bethesda Metro station. There is a county lot directly adjacent to my office.
